pros and cons of a small town

When Bryce and I first got married, I couldn't wait to experience a large city and everything that it had to offer. We really enjoyed the different cities that we have lived in but as we had children and they started to get bigger the pull to take them back to our roots became very strong. After being away for quite a few years of course we remembered all the good things about a small town (willingness to help, knowing your neighbor since birth) you know the drill. However you forget the little things like gossip, and everyone thinking that they can voice their opinion simply because they have known your family since birth. We picked our little town because of the friendliness of people and the closeness however it is those things that really make me ready to move on. Of course just like everything else it seems like the bad things tend to overshadow the good. There are a lot of great people out there but they tend to get lost in the mix of people that like to bring people down. (Lauren, since you are the few that read this...you are a good one)
I think that I'm ready for a bigger town!!! A little anemity goes a long way
